Check this out, the Blog has already received publicity from an external source. It's pretty sarcastic and not exactly endearing but then again, I'm assured the blogger has never enhibited behaviour resembling the latter!
Interesting to see how the Blogger takes the typical 'rich' Tories route.... Hmm... Still any publicity is good publicity, and so BUCA extends a 'thank you' to the mysterious Mr Blogger.

Manifesto 08/09
Hello and welcome to the new BUCA!
As we stated in our email to all of you, our manifesto was all about change and the change that is going to convert BUCA back to the society it once was.Our aims for this society are long term. When accomplished, we hope their impact will last far beyond our leadership:
We want BUCA to become a breeding ground for future Conservative politicians.
We want BUCA to be well known for its speaker debates and its influence on policy and direction in the party.
We want to hold national conventions where members from other university associations meet to discuss ideas and prospects.
We want it to be exciting, engaging and beneficial to the cause.
We are going to become a more social and widely recognised society but we are also going to become a politically acclaimed society, known for our brilliant campaign days and our canvassing efforts.
At the end of the day we all want to see the Conservatives in power and the best way to do this is to get involved and show your support at a local level. Grass root politics is still a fundamental necessity and brilliant fun so please help us to make BUCA one of the most prestigious and influential Conservative associations outside of the party headquarters.

Welcome!
Welcome to the new Bristol University Conservative Association blog!
This is one of the first steps towards BUCA publicising itself more, and hopefully a lot of our members will use this site to catch up on what's happening in and around BUCA.
To start off with, BUCA is proud to introduce its new committee for 2008/2009. The following were elected at the Annual General Meeting last month:
Treasurer/Secretary: Robin Wickenden
Publicity Officer: Simon Iles (yep that's me!)
Non-Portfolio Officer: Christopher Smith
